NSW Food waste Mandate Timeline

Large businesses (weekly residual waste capacity ≥ 3,840L): must comply by 1 July 2026

Medium businesses (≥ 1,920L): compliance by 1 July 2028

Smaller businesses (≥ 660L): compliance by 1 July 2030
